CAESAR 2 is a follow-up of CAESAR. The CAESAR-approach will be expanded to move from the topic of energy efficiency to the higher level of carbon-footprinting energy audits, reach out to new sectors of the economy and test a methodology which is feasible for SMEs.

PROJECT AIM AND OBJECTIVES
CAESAR 2 is aiming at introducing joint approach to assessing and improving energy efficiency (EE) and carbon footprint (CF) of small Alpine enterprises
Familiarizing small Alpine enterprises with available tools for Corporate carbon foot-printing and motivating them to join the process
Testing the tools for joint carbon foot-printing and energy auditing in small Alpine enterprises with a focus on agrifood sector
Design of final solution for CF and EE audits for small Alpine enterprises and spreading it to other stakeholders and sectors
CHALLENGE
This topic is currently high on the agenda in several Alpine regions and will be of high importance in the near future. SMEs will need to be prepared to respond to growing political and consumer/partner demands in this sense.
